YETI CYCLES
YETI cycles was founded in 1985 by John Parker in California. In collaboration with Chris Hering who was in charge of design and development and Frank, the welder who wielded the torch.
The American brand was best known at the time for its iconic FRO (For Racing Only) models with their famous turquoise color.
Among its first sponsored racers were John Tomac and Juli Furtado.
In 1995, YETI was bought by the Schwinn company and then sold in 1999 to the ski brand: Volant (Amer sports).
Finally, in 2001, Steve Hoogendoorn and Chris Conroy, two YETI employees, bought the company.
